Nissan 90 hp Someone please look at the pic and tell me what this is for

I have a single small line coming from the center of the engine, it doesnt go to the engine it comes through the transom mount, all the way to where the wiring and controls exit, it looks like what might be a speedo line but is capped off. Please try and help identify it isnt shown in any manuals.. Thanks..

On the leading edge of your lower unit you will see a small notch. That notch is the built-in speedometer pickup. The hose is the line from that pick up which can be connected to your speedometer.
