Can a charging system (alternator and rectifier) be added to a this motor?

Quite possible if already has a alternator coil underr flywheel, just a matter to add a rectifier kit, don't know if newer 9.9 D or D2 are same parts compatible though.

You may well already have some of the kit. If the motor is electric start, it should already have the full charging system. If not, look for a pair of wires (white and yellow) coming from under the flywheel. They should be there. If they are there, you already have an alternator, and just need to add 346761602M RECTIFIER KIT 8B THRU 40C, $108.96

Thanks! If they are not there, is there an alternator kit I could add? If so what is the part number for that?

The motor is two hours away from me and I don't want to drive all that way if I can't make it work.
