Nissan 9.9 NS9.88 3K9-1 (moved from other outboards)

A friend needs this Nissan outboard running, so my son is working on it.
He has it starting, runs then dies. If he sets it to half throttle, and feathers the choke it will run longer, and level RPM's. It is not connected to an external tank, he has it gravity feed.
When it is shut off fuel drips out the front of the carb.
Owner gave my son an old Gale for working on this Nissan.
Any ideas? Webekin

Nah. It will be something like NS9.8A or B
