nissan 9.8- tiller to remote control swap?

i have a nissan 9.8 four stroke tiller i would like to convert to remote. i think it is a 2004 model, the model # is nsf9.8a. is it possible to convert this motor? if so what parts will i need? can i use a universal type controller, or will i need a nissan/tohatsu specific controller? thank you for any and all replies.

At 9.8 hp I wouldn't be adding too much weght with a remote set up.A remote adds weight and unecessary complication and maintenance.Why do you want to change to remote?
Does the motor have attachment points for remote shift
and throttle?
If you just want to move weight forward you may be able to buy or make a tiller extension.

You would need an SRC kit(hardware), Steering Link Arm, Control Box assembly and two Control Cables. From Nissan...Six Hundred. You could use an aftermarket box and cables and cut it down to $ Four Hundred.

thank you tohatsu guru- thats exactly the info i was looking for. im looking around for a used nissan /tohatso control box, will any of them work, or do i need a specific model? thanks again.

The throw is the same on all the T/N boxes so, it will work with your model.
