Nissan 9.8 stats??

Where can I get the weight of an approx 2001 9.8 HP 2 stroke with el start?

Or does anybody know what they weigh? Short shaft.

Thanks Guru, thats what I thought, there is a chic on ebay that says hers is 90lbs. I suggested that she got the specs for the wrong motor. She informed me that she put it on a scale. Tohatsu will be the same, will it not? Or was there a time when tohatsu still had the bigger motor calling it a 9.8 and nissan had changed over to the smaller motor calling it a 9.8?

Sounds like the weight for a 4-stroke electric start with tiller steering arrangement.

I'm with Paul on this one. She probably has a 4-stroke 9.8. People do get confused between the 9.8 and 9.9 hp markings so without seeing a picture she could have anything. Tohatsu and Nissan always have duplicate hp markings. But, Mercury plays by a different set of rules and has marketed the 9.8 as a 9.9 in the past.
