Hi, well my little outboard seems to be running funny ...

It misses now and then, sometimes at idle is stalls, and then sometimes when i give it some throttle it misses pretty bad.

I have discovered the the kill switch is super sensitive and maybe wondering if it possible that sometimes it is slightly touching inside so making the engine miss now and then ? I had it really quickly in a tank with a pro and we thought it ran better with the wire of (disabled kill switch) but it was a pretty quick look around.

Is it possible to adjust or open up the switch to try to fix it as they are pricy ? Thanks

Make sure you have the correct clip on the stop lanyard. If the button isn't pulled out enough, you could have issues. The stop switch is available new from any dealer...

Test engine on boat with disconnected switch wires, if engine still misses it's not a switch issue.

Hi, well what end up happening is a took apart the kill switch and after playing around for a while I tried pulling hard the switch out and then i could see that some of the rubber was twisted under the switch causing the switch to be slighly pulled in at all times ... it seems great now.. also this problem was causing me at high rmps (probably cause of the movement) a large miss and almost stall now and then, thinking i had a bigger problem.
