nissan 5hp, can i reseal L/U while still on the motor

hello, i need to reseal my lower unit on my nissan 5hp 1992, cause when i fill it with lube, it pours out the prop about 2 mins later. literally.<br /><br />after i aquire the lower unit seal kit from elvin in tampa for 18.99 and get my 20% shop discount(wink), do i need to remove the lower unit or can i seal it while still attached to the motor???<br /><br />mike

The propshaft housing can be removed without dropping the LU. Then you can replace the propshaft seal and the housing 0-ring.
