I ordered a repair manual from Elvin. Removed 6 bolts to remove lower unit. It is loose, but it will not drop down. Tale tell has no water coming out when motor runs. Impeller has never been changed so my goal is to change the waterpump. Attempted to unblock water passageWhat should I do next? As you can most likely tell I an new at repairing my own boat motor, but I will learn. I have a reasonably good mechanical aptitude. Had my motor in shop several times this summer and paid out several hundred dollars for shoddy work at two separate shops.
