New to the forum, I have a great motor, however i had trouble with the trim switch not wanting to lower,, eventually got it down but thinking i might just get another trim switch,Its the older remote handle i believe, the silver box one,, it has the trim switch on the handle with like a place for another switch beside it,,,
Only i cannot find one? I was also thinking or wondering if its possible to put a second trim switch in the boat somewhere in case one malfunctions again,, is this possible and thanks in advance,, Im in Central Pa Harriburg area

Welcome to the forums,

You could place a second switch, but you would like to have it very close to you to trim engine properly while underway...is the original switch caput ?

Assuming you have an NS40C, right? Year is unimportant, model/serial is everything. You could have a bad switch, bad solenoid, bad pump, low battery, or a wiring problem. Identify the model, get a Factory service manual (from any dealer, including me), and whip out your analog multimeter, then start troubleshooting. Yes, you can add another SPDT-momentary switch anywhere on the boat, or even on the side of the motor cowl. If these tasks sound daunting to you, see your local dealer for assistance.
