Bought this Nissan 3.5A used a year ago. Put a new sparkplug in it and it started just fine. Didn't run it after that. This year, can't get the piston to turn -- can't get the starter rope to move. Can't rotate the prop.
Removed spark plug and sprayed Kano Aerokroil on the cylinder. Replaced spark plug and positioned outboard so oil would remain on the cylinder top. No luck.
Removed fuel tank and recoil starter. No lockup in the recoil unit. Still can't move drive train prop.
Shall I dig into the lower unit or power head next ?
Thanks for hosting this forum -- very useful -- I read all the posts and answers for Nissan/Tohatsu!

Two bolts and a pin holding the lower unit on...Drop it and see which one is bound up. It will probably be the powerhead.
