Nissan 2.5hp help

Hi all, I just purchased a nissan 2.5hp NS2.5a SN# 58312 and on the left theres also numbers reading 314-1. I cannot find the year can anyone help me? i am also looking for the impeller rebuild kit and a PDF manual please

Year is irrelevant for servicing Tohatsu outboards. the 314 is a sub-model run bit of info, and means nothing to us for servicing. That's the older model that starts in gear (does not have neutral). Impeller on the prop shaft. No kit was ever available, but you can get 309650211M IMPELLER (NS2.5A-3.5A2) $17.80 If the impeller housing is shot, they should still be available.

DL the owner's manual from nissanmarine.com. The Factory service manual is copyrighted, so no PDF available -- just paper hardcopy, from any Tohatsu/Nissan dealer... several forum members... even me.

is it true if i replace the 2.5 carb with the 3.5 carb for an identical match and will add 1hp?
