Nissan 2.5 Impeller?

I have a mid 90's 2.5 Nissan that I want to change the impeller on. The drawing makes it look like it's under the prop. The prop is plastic and doesn't want to come off after removing the cotter pin.

Has anyone done a water pump on one of these? Is the impeller still available.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated

If your model is M2.5A or A2, you do not have a shifter (starts in gear), and the water pump is between the prop and the LU gears. If you have a B or B2, the pump is on top of the LU.

In either event, the only thing that retains the prop to the shaft is the large cotter. The prop is driven by a pin through the prop shaft, and that pin may have worked its way into the drive slots of the prop. WP kits are available for B models, as are impellers for A models. If you damage the prop, they are still available new.

That should be a easy change out if you have the dd(direct drive) model. I had a 1993 3.5hp Nissan and did this repair about 4yrs ago i just removed the cotter pin and prop slid right off and changed the impeller. Have you tried to tap the prop off with a block of wood&mallet?

I had to deal with the exact same problem on a Nissan 3.5A that I once had. I ended up using a wooden wedge and a rubber mallet to get my prop off. Turned out my outboard had a prop strike in its past that had sheared the pin, but still held tight enough to turn the prop. Once I got the prop off, and put a new pin in, it worked just fine and I had no more problems removing the prop.

Here's the part of the thread I had started about this, the picture of the my old pin still leaves me puzzled on how it still managed to work:
