Nissan 18 HP-- NS18C2--- Fuel issue

I am not sure at this point what year this motor is as I have contacted Nissan but they have not gotten back with me.
My issue is fuel. The motor will start for just a second if I spray starting fluid into the carb but will not continue running. I am getting fuel up to the carb as I removed the hose and squeezed the bulb and had a lot of fuel flow out of it. I have not been able to find a carb kit for it. Are these obsolete? Thanks for any help you can give me.

Do a thorough carb cleaning. Yes, the 18C is obsolete, and no kits are available for it, so be careful.

I have found that fuel pumps are available. How can I tell if my fuel pump is not working? I removed the carb and the bowl was empty even though I had pumped the bulb repeatedly trying to start it. BTW, Thanks for trying to help me!

The fuel pump is not available. It's part of the carburetor and since the carburetor is not available....Try cleaning the carburetor in the right way and then if you need a part check and see if that particular part is available.

If carb's bowl is dry empty when priming fuel bulb properly, you have a stuck carb needle. Probably 18D2 carb diaphgrams could be same as 18C2 ?

I agree with the stuck carb needle diagnosis. Hope fully someone will chime in on the 18D2 and 18C2 interchange.

Do any of you guys have any idea where I can download or obtain a service manual? BTW, Nissan contacted me and said that the motor is "roughly " a 1988 model. They also said that they did not have it in their system. I can't find anything earlier than 1992.

The fuel pump assembly looks identical as of the D2 model. The carb is bit different.

Took that baby apart and sprayed a can of B12 Chemtool through it. Gave it a good blow job with the air compressor, reassembled it and it runs great! Thanks for your help!
