Night towing/boating suggestion

I often fish at all hours and I trailer my boat. I have found that a pair of (cheap) fog lights attached to the rear bumper of my tow vehicle help at night. I use the fog lights for the wide beam and when negotiating the trailer at night they do help. I have read that people like flashlights and other things but. this keeps my hands free and the wide beam helps backing and loading.

Bob

I have rear lights like that, but what I found was at least as useful was a set of waterproof Jabsco lights on the back of the trailer. Really helps judge distance and you can see much better around that part of trailer.

Two white lights turned on when the reverse gear is selected thru the wiring. Position then so that when you're reversing they cross much like the low flying bombers of yesteryear (this gives exact positioning) and there you are! You know exactly how far back to go.
Ross

Yes, exactly! The fog lights throw the "w i d e" beam and being located on my bumper keeps the light at water level. I tried mounting them higher but it just blinded the boat driver.

:) Bob
