The week is almost over and to my joy I can watch the Steelers play in Denver tonite. I must say the Saints and the Colts are playing outstanding football thus far. I'm not sure, but did I hear that there is a Thursday Nite Game coming up?

Should be a good game tonight.

Thursday's will be a hummer.

As long as I'm here--When luck is heavily on your side you can gain in the standings without playing. You know who I'm talking about.

Admit it.

That's right---The Vikings.

OH YEAH BABY!!!:D The Bucs get their first win this season! We're Super Bowl bound!!! Well, not quite. But at least we ain't goin 0 and 16 this year. I gotta admit, I thought the new quarterback was gonna suck, but to my surprise, he was good. He was very aware of his surroundings, and threw some nice passes also. Nothing better to revamp a bad d-line than the Packers' o-line. (Sorry fellas, but it is true.)

Sounds like you need to move or root for another team. Maybe Green Bay. They dont have too many followers now. Their offensive line is the same as it was two years ago but they just arent the same without Brett Favre.

The Steelers are heating up. It's only halfway through, but watch out Cincy and the rest of the league, the Stillers are coming for you!

Steelers D is looking better with Troy back. Running game and the O line are starting to gel ... Cincy and Baltimore to overcome and if that goes well, bring on another title run. But gotta get past Cincy first. One week at a time ...

Re: NFL week 9

It is now apparent that the NY in my NY Giants stands for Not Yet!!! The only positive is that Eli stopped throwing the ball up for grabs. There are too many negatives to list, but include abandoning the run game for no reason, not having a safety who can anticipate and defend a pass, never attempting a throw into the endzone when in the red zone, not attempting to go for a fourth and one inside the 5yd line, faking a field goal without telling the team, etc etc etc.... One saving grace is a bye week for me to put the pain behind. Looking at the balance of the schedule, we need to turn things around now or take out the shovel!

To pull something positive from the last two days, the tailgate food was terrific with a new rub for ribs, designated drivers allowed me to ease the pain via lager and ale and boy did I, fishing Monday was a slam while nursing a vicious hangover, and my kids' report cards were excellent this morning.

Could be worse........

I am just as happy as anyone else that the Vikings are leading their division. But I am concerned that their overall mediocre, intermittent play coupled with the loss of the luck factor could change everything drastically at any time.

The Pat's pulled out another against the Dolphfins. The question is can the Pat's go over ten wins for the season and play in the play offs?

I am sure they will. I'm thinking they'll win Sunday against the Colts (and I'm a die hard Colts fan). I think Brady and Moss will tear up our secondaries. Unless of course, Freeny and Mathis have a good day getting in the face of Mr. Brady which is entirely possible. I think it's going to come down to who can get the most pressure on the QB.

I agree. They need to play 4 quarters instead of 2, like they have been. Even 3 would be an improvement.

My friend, you don't know the half of it!!:(:p

But who cares, I still love football!!:p

Vikings play them this weekend. Should be another check in the win column. But, they are the Vikings and anything can happen....... You're not alone. My wife and in-laws are Lions fans...

Com'mon man! where's the optimistic spirit in you? If all the Pats got to count on is Brady/Moss then we'll suffocate them and take their offense away from them. What the hell is wrong with Sander now? is that boy made out of glass or what? It's like once he got broken, they glued him back and he fell apart everytime he got touched.

You and I both know that Brady/Moss are not the only weapons they have. If that were true, we would have owned them for the past 6 years (or more). Sanders, although an outstanding player, only plays half a season EVERY year. And when he does go out, our other guys step up to fill the role fairly well. In other words, we're better with Bob, but we're pretty darn good without him to. As much as I hate to say it, I think it's time to take a look at whether we should keep him. Bill Polian's been a genius when it comes to finding talent. I trust if Sanders gets cut, Bill will find a suitable replacement. Perhaps not quite at Bob's level, but at least someone who can last a whole season.
