The Dirty Birds will be gunning for "da Saints," and we still have some key folks out on injury. Then again, so do they. We shall see!

While I keep my fanaticism in persprective, I am not part of the team, so the Steelers are not "we", I will agree they have serious flaws. And it's not very often that I do this, but obviously they will not make the playoffs, I am looking forward to draft day already. I certainly hope they can get some new players to help them win next year!

(Gosh I feel like a Cubs fan now!)

I feel your pain about having a losing team. I am a bengals fan and I have had many losing seasons throughout my life. The bengals have gotten lucky to turn around the season like they did this year. Sorry but it was about time the steelers had a losing season. No hard feelings

You wanna talk about being a fan of a perpetual loser? I am a Lions fan. It doesn't get much worse than that.

There's a local legend about the "Curse of Bobby Layne". Back in the 50s, before the NFL and the AFL combined, and before there was a Superbowl, the Lions used to be a Patriots-like dynasty, winning several NFL championships. Lions QB Layne was the Tom Brady of that era, winning 3 championships in 7 seasons with the Lions, But then he broke his leg badly and the Lions traded him to the Steelers in 1958. He supposedly said the Lions would not win for 50 years after that. He sure called it-- 1 playoff win in 50 years. The last year of the "curse", 2008, ended up being the worst season of any NFL team in history  ...so now that the curse is expired, maybe we'll finally have a winning season in the next decade.

Of course, it could also be explained by the curse of Ford ownership

Tough to argue. The punching bag of the NFC North, formerly Central division....

Preparing for my trip to the Meadowlands tonite to see my NY Giants take on the Eagles. Forecast is for upper 30's F and heavy icy rain. If you're going to watch, look for me 16 rows up from the Eagles bench. I'll be the guy who looks like a cross between the Michelin man and the Gorton's fisherman!!

GOOOOOOOO GIANTS!!!

My team and I took a shot to the gut last week.

Hope we can get back on track this week against The Bungles.

Never know what is going to happen with these last few games as teams that are not going much futher will try positioning them selves for earlier(better) picks in 2010.

I'll look for you Angus. I hope you enjoy everything about the game tonight except the final score.

The only game I have ever been to was the 700 level at Veterans stadium. A good time, but couldn't see much. 16th row would be lots of fun.

One of these two teams should pick it up soon.

I root for two teams every week, the Iggles and whoever plays the cowboys:D

I didn't get to see the Saints game today, because I was out shooting photos in the fog, but it looks like we had another nail biter at 26 -23. That said, I'll take 'em any way I can get 'em!

Well we did not see you but we would have liked to be there !!!!
Thought the offense played well, the defense were so so and there were some "unusual" calls by the officiators at times !!!
Good close game overall but the wrong team won !!!!
Wild card here we come.

Re: NFL week 14

What a pathetic performance from my team, which I will not dignify by naming. Yeah, they may as well lose the rest of their games to get a decent draft pick, but 48-3? Really??

At least CBS has been putting some great matchups on in our area, that we can switch to after our team is 3 scores down midway through the 2nd quarter. Been able to see several Colts and Vikings games, and that's been a pleasure. Yesterday was Vikes-Bengals on CBS. Gave up on my team when they were down 26-3 and just watched the Vikings game. And yeah, the Vikes are back in business. Didn't see last week's Vikings game, but they sure looked good against the Bengals.

I wouldn't be enjoying old Brett's success nearly as much if my team was in the hunt, but he's going to be long (and permanently) retired if & when that ever happens
