I just got the spark issue fixed and now I have a fuel issue (which is no surprise). When I start the engine it will run ~3 seconds then die, if I wait a couple seconds it will fire up and run about 3 seconds again. Im pretty sure its time to clean the carbs and kit them but I am also wondering if my fuel pump is any good. It squirts a small amount of fuel under no real pressure but as far as I know that may be normal. Anyway I'm just curious if it sounds like the carbs a plugged up to you.
Thanks for the help, this site is great.

you should have at least a little pressure from the fuel pump not just dribs and drabs so i would start there b4 you go on to carbs but at a 74 if the crabs are original and never serivced you mightas well cant hurt

is the vent open on the fuel tank. it never hurts to do the carbs, correctly. try your slow speed needle at 5/8 turns out from soft seated. then adjust from there.
