Newbie to Boats, start with Aluminum or SS?

Getting our boat shortly, will come with both an aluminum and SS prop. Being that I'm a newbie at all of this and no doubt will find some learning going on would you be more inclined to start off using the aluminum prop vs. the SS? My thinking is if the aluminum is more likely to transfer less damage to the out drive should I hit something I'd be better off. Advice?

I would start with Aluminum its a lot cheaper to replace
