This may seem dumb but im so use to boats im not sure if a pwc does this.I have a 1993 yamaha 650vxr.I connected a garden hose to it to make sure everything was working fine.I noticed alot of steam or fog coming from where the jer exhaust is.Is this normal, is this just the two tempetures extremes meeting thus making the steam. Also is there alimit to how long i can leave it running on the hose. Thanks

Re: newbie question

The smoke your probably seeing is the two stroke exhaust. It'll kill some mosquitoes when they're run on the hose. If you think it is indeed steam, limit the amount of time on the hose. This could be your impeller getting hot due to friction. I never run mine over a few minutes and never give it full throttle.
