I've been lurking on this site for quite a while learning what I can from everyone. This is an excellent site and all involved should be proud of the service you provide to those us us with less experience.

Here's my question: I'm about to purchase a 2004 Century 2000 CC with a 150hp Yamaha on it. The bow of the boat has a very slight pulpit on it with a bow rail following around the pulpit. I'd like to add a trolling motor (I fish on lake Lanier in Georgia) up front but don't see any way of doing so without cutting away some of the bow rail, moving a cleat and so on. Does anyone have any suggestions or experience on this? Any experience with motor mounted trolling motors?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Jim.

on my 14.6 princecraft, my minn kota 50LB thrust is mounted to the right(starboard ) of my 6HP johnson. soon to be 15HP, i hope, and all runs perfect. i do not fish from the bow, so i did not install on there, plus i saved oddles of cash buying a transom mount motor instead .............

A picture of the bow of your boat would be helpful in giving you the info you need.
