Hi i was raised thinkin a prop was a prop. Now i reilize how wrong gramps was.

I have a 1958 glasspar sport lido with late 60's 40 hp jhonson. Which has an alluminum 10 1/2 x 14 on it now. What would be a better prop /pitch for pulling skiers and tubers. It luggs along in the corners and dosnt fell like it has reached its full rpm. On takeoff it takes a while to get on a plane. Way to long.

Can't tell you since we have no idea what the wide open throttle rpm is with the current prop. If you don't have a tach there is no way to tell what rpm the engine is running. You can add a tach for about $50. Make some wide open throttle runs and post the maximum rpm and speed you observed. Speed by GPS is best.
