Newbie Need Help (steering cable)

Steering prob??? <br />New Boat (custom Built)24 footer<br /><br />jet drive 460 ford engine.<br /><br />Steering cable is fairly new, bought last summer, was trying it today, and could only turn to the left (REAL SLUGGISHLY) going right would not go at all (unless someone was on the back side of impeller pushing the steering mech. Is there anything i can use to free this cable without replacing it again?

try some sort of cable lube happy boating!!!

rsd,<br /><br />Unhook the cable and make sure the steering mechanism on the jet is free.<br /><br />If it is, your cable has problems-again.<br /><br />If cables get any water in them, they can freeze up in short order.
