I have an 87 Klamath 18 ft Center Console With a Johnson 48 SPL and an Evinrude 9.9 Kicker on Starboard side. After reading theses forums I am in the process of moving the kicker over to the port side on the transom and going to try to hook up a steering link between the 2. And I going to try to install a separate control box for it. If that wasn't enough I decided I didn't like the carpet so I unbolted the center console had a time remoiving the steering wheel and learned how to unhook my throttle cables so I could get access to my deck. I want to re carpet and install some pedestal seat mounts in the floor, but I need access to get underneath. I will probably be asking alot of questions on these forums in the next few weeks. I am trying to get this boat ready for a trip to Florida.
