Hi Guys, I bought those brass flush valves and installed and now she is out of the water, I want to hook fresh water to the valve, run until thermostats open then shut engine down, switch to antifreeze mix. My question is will the thermostats remain open during the quick shutdown and restart with antifreeze?

Probably, but it would be nice to know what engine/drive we are talking about.....​

With that method, you have a 50/50 chance of it working.
If it doesn't work, you crack blocks and manifolds.
Drain it first (COMPLETELY) then add antifreeze of you like.

You might as well just Drain it,+ be Done with it....................

Remember, Air dont freeze. Just drain it.. no need to add anything unless your near saltwater (corroision)
