Newb here. Anyone gonna be out on Lake Houston Labor Day weekend?

New to this forum, but not to boats. Just got rid of a 14.5 Seadoo Challenger, just outgrew it. Fun boat, but it got small when we had any passengers.

Just bought a Glastron GX185 with 190hp VolvoPenta, and it runs like a charm Really clean boat, fairly low hours. Looks almost brand new.

Anyways, did a tune up on it yesterday, and if I didn't cross any spark plug wires, we should be on the lake within the hour. We typically hang out at Skier's cove, so if you see us, approach and say "HI!"

Had two awesome days out, raining today, on monday. So staying home to cook a brisket, considering it is Labor Day, and we have to follow traditions.

Brought mother-in-law and her beau on Sunday. Nice weather, and not too choppy.

Glad you had a good time scooper, We were up in northern lower penn. here in Mich. Winds had Lake Michigan up to 14' waves, we left the boat in the garage:redface:!
Got out a little yesterday though, beautifull!!

With 14' waves, I leave the boat home and haul out my surfboards!!!

Or my Seadoo XP, and jump the waves or tow in on surfboard.

Well, it was rainy, with some Hermione tropical storm offshore, so we stayed inside and cooked traditional labor day food. Beer, beer, beer, a mixed drink, and some kind of meat, brisket, I think

Heard some bad news this morning, a guy got washed off the north breakwall into the harbor at Ludington (that's where we were) yesterday afternoon and they're still looking for the body. Bummer!

yeah, we lost a young lady off the coast near Galveston yesterday. Swimming alone off-shore in storm surf.

Wouldn't be surprised if they found foul play involved.

Still sucks.
