New Yamaha F25 problem

I just purchased a new Yamaha F25 a couple weeks ago and after the motor is warmed up, I get a really bad clattering/rattling sound coming from the motor while accelerating. It doesn't happen every time and it only lasts through a narrow range of RPM's at about 1/8-1/4 throttle. It actually sounds like there is a nut or bolt rattling arround inside the crankcase. Anyone have any ideas? Also, I'm only about 5 hours into the break-in period.

You have a warranty right?
That's what they tell me. I'm taking it back to the dealership tomorrow. I'm just afraid they're going to try to weasel out of it. I don't have faith in customer service of any company, anymore. My biggest fear is that the dealer will say they can't reproduce the problem in their tank and tell me I'm imagining things. OR that I must have done something wrong and the warranty won't cover it.

worry about that if they do not find a problem.

could be bad gas, and they will not cover bad gas

I thought about bad gas.. It's not the case as I've tried gas from two different stations AND there is a water separating filter.

Is this on a new boat as well? A buddy put a yam 4 stroke 25 on his aluminum boat to replace a 2 stroke merc 25 and now he has a nice phantom rattle at the transom under very specific conditions.

I suppose what I'm getting at is can you run the motor off the boat in a drum under load to see if you can isolate the sound to the engine.

It's not a new boat. The noise was definitely coming from the crankcase and not the transom.

Please keep us updated, my 2022 f25 started making a similar noise first time out on the water this year. About 30 hours on mine.

I also am hearing this after purchasing an f25 two days ago while in my first hour of break in, what happened with your motor?
