Hi, I will shortly be the proud owner of a 1992 yamaha 115hp outboard. This is an upgrade from a 1974 johnson 85 hp. Its going on an 18 foot searay, a 1970 model (with a new 1.5" plywood transom). I am wondering what would be the right prop for this setup. like everyone else, I want hole-shot and top speed (I guess I have to compromise).

I do like to wakeboard, as well as deepwater slalom starts, this is the main reason for the upgrade to the newer motor.

I am guessing the prop will be around a 21 pitch. Anyone know of a prop shop in MD that will let me test some props?

Thanks for any advice, and heres a picture of the boat:

Nice boat .... I'll go for a 19 pitch, you will have both speed and pull power for wakeboarding and slalom towing ......
