When I open a second browser, it always opens as a tab.

Is there anyway to change that. I don't like tabs and want a new seperate window to open.

If I am opening a link from within a browser I always right click and open new window but you don't have that option when just opening up a new home page browser.

Hey, how are ya?
Sorry, I can't help with the tab thing, new to 7 myself. So far, they don't bother me.

Well...... I use Google Chrome and when I right click I get the choice of a tab or a window.

The speed of chrome (to me) seems much faster and it has a spell checker built in ;)

Try going to Tools>Internet Options>Advanced.
Right at the bottom there is a setting..."Enable Tabbed Browsing"
Try unticking it, you will then have to restart internet explorer.

Also, about a quarter of the way down that list there's a setting to
"Reuse windows when launching shortcuts" when tab browsing is off, I think you will have to untick that to get your desired result.

Good to see ya JRJ! Redding rules! At least I hope you got some summer down there. Weather was so rotten here, all summer, I never even got the cover off the boat.

That worked Fed, Thanks!!! Not sure how it got changed as my preference has always been the default.

Our daily crossword puzzle just had "Biggest city in Australia" as a question. I hit the jackpot and named your city!

I give. I have IE7 and I've been looking at Internet Options>Advanced for about 20 minutes and I do not see that option.

Fed described two options to tickle. The first one is not in Advanced, it is in the General Tab in the Tab section part way down the page.

Had a really nice summer. Not too hot, lake was full, no forest fires, and I sold my boat :D
Think of you when I get by the In&Out and someone usually brings up your turkey brine around thanksgiving
Good to see you back here Boomyal.
