Hi, Im ne w to the forum but would like to introduce myself and my boats. Im Richard from deep south Texas. I already have a 16' glastron with a 135 mercury. And have just purchased a glastron 19' and purchased seperately a 235 evinrude (77 model) for it. Would like to know your thoughts on the 77 235 evinrude. Thanks,<br />Richard

Lots of gas bigdog, have lots of gas. The old girls weren't exactly noted for their mpg advantage.<br /><br />OBJ

Yeah i have heard that about gas, Im looking at a 85 of same model and size, but not sure how much I should pay for it, any idea?

If'n I had my druthers....I would go with the newer model....get it (if you can) to a good mech and have it checked out top to bottom. Get a good drift if the mech would have it. Go from there. Better yet, go for new, if it don't interfear with the beer money. Even an 85 will eat gas. May be a good starter engine. Even help someday as a tradein.<br /><br />OBJ

well beer money is seious business, I think Im gonna get a few hours out of the old one then look at a newer one. I didnt pay much for the old one so I will pay for gas for a while, ))
