Me and the boyfriend just bought this for our project. I love the water! I am not sure of the year we think its a 1964 or 1965 maybe.

We have totally gutted the inside and replacing alot. It came without a windshield .. (doesn't anyone know of any place I could find one?)

Hi Mustang75. Welcome to iboats. I love the old hard top Starcrafts. AS for the windshield, that's the one tricky part with these restos. If you're lucky, you might be able to find a replacement online. Otherwise, you'll probably have to contact a glass/plastic shop and have them make one for you. In any event, you're in the right place. The Starcraft guys here are the best and can walk you through any job you may have. Really only a few rules with aluminum boats: 1.) NEVER use Pressure Treated lumber as it will cause and electrolytic reaction which will cause pitting in the hull. High quality exterior grade plywood and/or marine plywood are best. 2.) Stainless Steel hardware is usually best for most fasteners throughout the boat, except for any aluminum rivets you may need to replace. 3.) Any wood you do use should be sealed to waterproof it. There are 2 main methods folks here like A.) use high quality, wax-free polyester resin and fiberglass to encase the transom and floors B.) coat wood in 2-part epoxy, allow to cure and paint for UV protection. A little pricey, but most folks find it to be less hassle. That's about it. The res is u0p to your imagination. Good luck. Keep us posted. We love pics.
