What length and model SC? Looks like one of the older utility styles to me having the narrow gunnels.

The bad PT ply has an ugly greenish tint to it from the copper arsenic used in the treatment.

Welcome to the Star Craft family. I have a 1995 Superfisherman 190 myself and love it. I personally believe it is built better and is tougher and basically better than my old Lund that was a 2000. I am not looking for an argument, both are well built boats, my opinion only for all the Lundies out there. That's a good looking rig you have there, it looks like someone put some time and effort into rebuilding it. Enjoy that StarCraft.

What exactly is your concern about the PT lumber? Is it a health issue with the old "Wolmanized" having arsenic in the lumber or whether the decking is protected from rotting or not ? Like Waterman said there is a definite green ting to the Wolmanize treatment. A fence I built in 86' is still green in some spots protected from Sun and rain. If you can pull back carefully some carpet it should still be green.

The concern is that the newer stuff has copper in it which corrodes aluminum something fierce. The older more green stuff would actually likely be just fine.

Other than being stained from sitting out getting wet from the elements the wood looks to be ext grade ply to me that hasn't been sealed with anything prior to being installed.

Got ya. We replaced all the floor with the new pressure treated materials on a 1990 StarCraft last winter . Where there was an interface between the lumber and any aluminum we tapped the metal in roofing Ice and Snow shield.

Yeah the problem most of time comes from the boat being left out uncovered and getting soaked with water. Then the interface between the AL and the PT is the chemicals leaching out and dripping off into the bottom of the boat where it concentrates and begins eating holes.

its definitely had water in it. the plug was in it when i got it  so when i brought it home i let it drain a whole day before i put it under the carport. the best i can tell the plywood is on top of a wood frame and does not actually touch the hull itself. ive looked every where i could and i havent seen any corrosion yet but ill watch for it.
