New to me boat - first outing

Thansk to all of you who offered advice on my recent boat search. I got a 15 ft Lowe 150 (flat bottomed, all aluminum bass boat) with a 40HP Evenrude (all a 1990 vintage package.) I just got back from my first outing. Everything works great. Top end is about 30MPH, which is plenty fast enough for the places and ways I fish. I do have one minor issue. I am trying to change the lower unit lube, and I can't get the upper screw unscrewed. The screw slot has been slightly buggered up (Blade cams out of the slot.) Any advise?

Use an impact driver. It is a screwdriver that has the appearance of a chizel sort of. Put in the appropriate tip, place tip in the problem screw, tap the top of driver with a hammer. *poof!* screws out!

Make sure you use new gasckets or o-rings as applicable for both the fill and drain screw - every time!!
