New suzuki 140 set-up

A friend of mine has been running the Suzuki df140 for two years now and swears by it. I myself have run it many times, and I like it. I would like to re-power with one, but need some advice. My boat ia a Basscat Caracal, which is only 17"1 and 980 lbs.The original motor ia a '85 Johnson GT 150.( vro gave up the ghost)The boat is old ('85) but in great shape. Being a 4-stroke will the extra weight be a problem? Are there any other issues that could be a problem that any of you can think of? Thanks !

Suzuki is one of my favorites also. But I have been doing alot of listening, watching, and reading, and have to say I would definately consider the new E-tec. Looks like they're gonna be hard to beat. Check out this video.<br /><br />E-TEC Video
