new sending units

I just put 2 new senders. and on 1 gas tank it shows a 1/4 tank wich is right, but when I switched tanks it showed a 1/2 tank.. and I know that tank is pretty much empy please help me figure this one out, what am i doing wrong

Switch wiring or the float arm is hanging up inside the tank.

Thanks silvertip it looks like im going to have to go and get some new wire everything else looks good, Its Dark, So it looks like ill get back to work in the morning.. thanks, I will let you know what happens
