I just bought a new Rinker 232 with a 350MAG MPI Bravo 3 and 28 pitch prop. I was told this boat would do 55-60 easily. After 18 hours of break-in, it will only do 45mph at 4400rpm. The dealer did engine diags and says everything is fine. The dealer told me to use it for another 10-20 hours and see if it gets better. Am I wrong to think something is wrong?

Hey Needyhelm BE CAREFULL. Make sure their not just using up your warranty period!! Something there may be covered by hours, dont confuse it with the hull. FACT ****** told me to do this to a customer once because they knew of the flaw in the engine computer and were not gonna recall them all.60 hr warrenty on the part.Kickback filling new engines with water!
Your engine only does 4400rpm wot? or are you taking it easy?Whats the dealer hopeing will get better??The engine rpm?

Definate

They say it needs a break in, but when its broke its out. I would be alittle leary with that dealership, but how much bugs do you need to catch to go fishin at that speed. Hope all goes well.
