New Prop ??'s

I received my new Appolo SS prop yesterday and tried it out today. It seems to put my F150 right in the recommended RPM range (5900) which is a good sign. However, the tapered thrust washer included with the new hub kit does not seat in on the shaft as much as the original. Due to the space pushing everything back further, I am unable to put the cotter pin on after the prop nut. Just wondering, if I may have something in the wrong place or perhaps even the wrong hub kit.

Helpful Advice Appreciated

Kevin

Do you still have the thrust washer from your old prop? If so, does this fit inside the hub and allow the prop to go on properly. You need the cotter pin in this setup as the castle washer doesn't have a locking mechanism otherwise.

Upon a better review of the hub kit directions I realized they do not indicate using a washer between the castle nut and the brass hub. I took the washer off and presto....enough real estate to turn the castle washer in and also put the cotter pin through the shaft.
