Re: New Prop Installation
Well,................

It's a Pretty Complicated Mechanical Endeavor,........ You'll probably need to get a Factory Mercruiser Shop Manual,...............

But,.... I'll try to walk you thru it........

You'll need a Big Screwdriver,......
A 1 1/16th" End Wrench or Scocket,........
A short piece of 2X4,........
And,... Some Grease.........

Not All props are Exactly the Same,... But you'll See the differences,.......

There's probably a Locking Washer,... Take the Big Screwdriver,+ Bend Out the bent over Tab......
Insert the Block of Wood between the Prop,+ the Cav. Plate,... Use the Wrench to turn the Nut, Counterclockwise, against the block of Wood....
When the Nut is off,.. remove the Locking Washer,...
Now,.. Hopefully, the Prop will Slide Off the Propshaft.......(If it was Greased,.. No Problem,... If Not,... Possibly Big Problems...........)
With the Prop out of the way,.. There May, or May Not be a Thrush Hub,.. On some props it's Built-In to the Prop......
If all has gone Well so far,.. You'll be looking at the Propshaft,... Clean it up Real Good,..Shiny Metal Clean,... All the way from the Threads forward to the seal where the shaft disappears into the outdrive,.........

Now,......... Slather it Up Real Good with Grease,+ Install the 1 you bought,......
Thrush Hub,....
Prop,.....
Drive Hub,....
Locking Washer,....
And,.. The Nut..........

I've never Torqued a Prop on with a Torque Wrench,......(use the block of Wood again)
But,.. My Educated Elbow(term stolen from achris
) says about 35/50ft.lbs. is about Right............
