Took the boat out today after replacing power pak, rectifier, plugs, wires,coils,.... The boat ran fine the first trip out. After a couple of hours of it sitting and go to start it, it starts right up, Its got a hot foot so when i push the lever to put in gear it dies. It always starts right up but dies when put in gear. Sounds like a fuel problem but dont know.I can throttle it in nuetral no problem.

Re: New problem

Engine model number, make, year, hp?

Check compression on all cylinders. What are the readings?

Spark, with the spark plugs removed, should jump a 7/16" gap with a strong blue lightning like flame, a real SNAP! Does it.

What spark plugs are you using and at what gap?

Re: New problem

try adjusting your idle speed in the water and in gear. setting idle on muffs does not work.
