Hi, I have been boating my whole life, but decided to dabble in the jet ski side of it as well. Not wanting to spend a fortune, I just won a 1994 Polaris 750 SL with rebuilt motor and drive unit on ebay. I figured for this price I couldn't go wrong.

Question is, I've only driven a friends jet ski once before, never actuall owned one so is it like my alpha and bravo outdrives where you have to run on the muffs out of the water and how do you winterize etc.

Here is the link to the ebay auction that I won. I think I pretty much stole it for this price... couldn't pass it up.

Thanks for the links. Also, I guess since I haven't received any negative comments, the 750 SL should be an okay starter ski huh?

I have owned several of the SL/SLT series ski's. While they are great while running, they most definetly have there problems. The first thing I do to mine is get rid of the oil injection. the next thing is upgrade the fuel pump, the stock pump doesn't pump enough to the #3 cylinder and will take the piston and crank bearings with it. Other than that I never had any pump problem, stay away from the shore when running.
