New PCM's 350 install, where to put oil/tranny cooler

I have just replaced my two 305/220 crusaders with two 350/350 PCM crate engines.

They both have an external oil and transmission fluid cooler (heat exchangers) that are not part of the engine hosing, my old engines had just oil coolers and they were inline on the motor.

The only logical place for me to mount these are before the raw water pumps. I know it makes more sense to push the water through as opposed to pull, but what are the thoughs on this.

Next question is sea strainer. I do not have them and do not want the extra maintenance. I live and boat in the very clean Florida Keys waters. Is the strainer on the bottom of the boat enough?

Thanks!

It will work fine any way you do it. Most often it depends on how handy it is to "Pick up" the next item. You really need the strainer. then go through a cooler or the pump and just keep going till you have went through both coolers and hooked up to your Heat exchanger or T stat housing.
