Just bought a 1969 Evinrude Lark III 28HP outboard motor. Never owned a boat before now. Am putting it on a 16' 1963 StarCraft Aluminum boat. What should I do to best insure the long term reliability of the motor for the coming summer use?<br /><br />What kind of fuel economy should I expect for this combination assuming steady state 3/4 throttle (planing the boat) and three passengers? In other words, how many hours should a 6 gallon tank last me?<br /><br />Freshwater use. Thanks for any responses!<br />Howard in Maine
