Quick question for you guys. We just sold our old boat today (very sad day) and purchased a new boat (very exciting day.)

The boat i purchased is new but has been demo'ed in saltwater for 10 hrs (all this weekend.) I never plan to run in salt water an really don't like the idea that the boat had been in salt water... but i went ahead and purchased it since i really liked the boat.

Is there anything i should do to the motor or boat tomorrow when i pick it up since it has been run in salt? The dealer said they would flush it tonight when they took it out but i can't be entirely sure of that. Woudl just running it in fresh water for a day this week clean everything out? BTW... it is a 2007 5.7l Merc350 B3.

thx. -greg

Re: New Merc B3 in salt water question.

10 hrs in salt won't hurt anything.

Just flush it good and run it. Everytime you run it in fresh water you'll flush it even more.

Don't worry about it!

Cheers,

Rick
