I didn't see a new member section, so I'm posting this here. I'm Mike. I've been working in a boat repair shop for a bit over 11 years now. We do fiberglass and some limited aluminum bodywork, paint, structural wood (but not wood hulls), and some other stuff. We don't work on engines though. A member on S10 forum mentioned they are also a member here, and I had a thought at work today that prompted me to join. I'll post it in the restoration section. Otherwise I'm happy to help out where I can.

It's guys like you that keep my hopes alive. (Grin)

I'm a 60 some Y.O. jack of all trades with a lot of mechanical background, however boating is a new cup-of-tea. I put a 10' aluminum boat on the water last year, and discovered that it is a bit too small. So I jumped on a deal and found myself looking at a 20' fiberglass boat from 1969 and all the restoration jobs that may imply. Good advice is very welcome. The voice of experience is not lost on me.
