hi everyone I am a new member from Cincinnati Ohio, I am also new to boating and have much to learn. I currently have a 1986 Celebrity 22.5 cuddy with a 260 Mercruiser, alpha I gen I, 15.25x15p prop. it is really clean and only has 300 hours on it mostly stored indoors. I am thinking of putting it up for sale and buying something a little newer with more power, close to same size. I appreciate any help/advice in advance since I will have many stupid questions.

welcome to iboats !

nice rig. !

this place is refered to as boat university.
one thing the members are adamant about....is that there is no such thing as a stupid question. go ahead.....ask. !
there is no bashing here. we all just want to help you.

sounds like you are not sure what you want to get, besides more power and newer.....just ask your self.....how do i use the boat? and what do i want to do that i cant with the current rig?........this will narrow the choices. then you can go from there.

cheers

Re: new member here

Welcome Stang. I'm new too. In just two days, I've learned more about my boat and motor than I've been able to find in books in the year I've owned it.

My first boat, but not my first forum. Looking forward to interacting.

Re: new member here

Thanks guys, this seems to be one of the best boating forums around.
I know my boat is a cruiser type and I really enjoy it with the exception I wish had more power and newer or different outdrive. We go tubing and take it on the river sometimes. I recently seen a beautiful 1987 Donzi Z-21, 454 for $8500 sale. I thought about trying to get it and selling mine but I am unexperienced and older boats frighten me a little about reliability and issues. anyways I noticed there is much experince on this form and seems like most are friendly. I like anything that goes fast, cars, cycles, quads, boats, etc.
