New lower unit

Hi
Could anyone help me ? I have 2x Mariner 60 2 stroke bigfoot outboards dated 1996
I need to buy a lower unit for one of them but I am unsure what units will fit.
S/N 0992164 & 09924909
Is it also the case that a mercury unit will fit.

Here is the parts list for both s/ns:

50/55/60 JET 45 - Mercury, Mercruiser, Force, etc. Parts Lookup

Do you know the p/n of the one removed and if you have 3/6 jaw? If not you can determine it by the design reference under GEAR HOUSING CHART (60 SEAPRO/MARATHON/BIG FOOT)

The service manual you require is p/n 90-817643R1 and if you don't have it, I can send you a copy if you send me a PM with an email address.

1996 is a 3 jaw and the only years that are a direct replacement are 1995-1997,if you go aftermarket thats a SEI s90-205-B20M but count the spline and measure driveshaft OD as they had 11 & 14 spline crankshafts. The SEI unit is 11spline and .750 OD and you have to change shift linkage and throw arm for it to work.
