Royalties from mining to the tune of $1.25 million is being used to turn a quarry into a 70' deep 93 acre lake
It should be good habitat for walleye and trout hopefully.
Despite conventional wisdom to the contrary, mid-Michigan is one of the worst places to own a boat, and this will be the only place nearby deeper than 30'.
All the local lakes are shallow and weedy, not to mention crowded.
