Hi guys
My problem is that I have a small crack in my intake manifold,my engine is a vp 5.7 dp engine number 4100145250. What i was intending to do is to replace the manifold with an aftermarket one,the problem is i dont know which engine i have (chevy ford ??? etc) .I would like to replace the old manifold with a 4bbl which would give me a little more power.I have been looking on summit racings website and they do have some marine manifolds but i just dont know which one i need, can anyone give me some advice or maybe a part number of what manifold would fit my engine.

Cortez, You may be able to get away with an automotive intake manifold, if you can find one to fit your motor. I would think they are identical. Autos went to fuel injection a lot sooner than boats, so there may be a match up issue. The carb needs to be a marine carb.

Get an Edelbrock Aluminum..massive weight loss...stick a pencil zinc it, and screw in a new zinc yearly. Email THEM with questions...as they do this daily.

If you boat in salt water and want an aluminum intake, stick with the marine intakes because they have bronze inserts in the water jackets to stop corrosion.
