Im going to be installing some trim tab system and don't know how to decide between several out there...Bennet hydraulics or Lenco electrics- I am interested in easier installation and reliability- thanks for the advice!

I have installed Smart Tabs, two Bennett Systems and assisted on a Lenco install. Smart Tabs are definitely the easiest, but it sounds like you want helm adjustable tabs (my preference). Lenco's are less complicated than a Bennett install, but the support for Bennett's is outstanding. I have heard of some failures of the Lenco system as well. My choice would be Bennett's, but the install is the toughest of the three . . .

That's a tough one to answer outright. I have a set of each, both work well with no problems at all. For a smaller boat I'd stick with the Lenco electric. Their reaction time seems to be a little quicker and no hydraulic tubes or lines to break. But --------- the service from Bennett is absolutely outstanding !!!! Had to replace one seal on the starboard piston and they sent me a complete set for free. Knock on wood but the Lenco's have been trouble free for four years now - and they DO get used a lot. No matter which way you go there will still be the need to drill holes in the transom
( yuk ) and without proper sealing you'll have a mess. To me it's a
50 / 50 proposition. I guess it's just up to the cost of it all. :D
