new impeller?

i have a 73 cobalt 888 stern drive and was wondering where the impeller is (tech guy at ugly johns boat said i should change it)....and how hard is it to change the boat has been sitting for awhile and im just checking everything out what else should i check before heading to the lake for a test run?????

Well, believe it or not, it's between the upper and lower units of your outdrive, and your tech guy is right. The impellers should be changed every other year as preventive maintenance.
