I'm about to receive my new boat with Honda 90 4 stroke outboard. Weather here (Maryland) will be dropping to low 50s daily & low 30s at night. If I run engine during the day, will freezing temps at night cause any problems? I will be keeping the boat outside & on a trailer. Has anyone run the Honda 4 stroke in cold weather? Any problems doing this? Any advice greatly appreciated.

That motor should run in any temperature that you can endure.

When you park the boat make sure to lower the engine to the vertical position and leave it there so all water can drain out.

I have a 90 HP honda and it is a little cold blooded when first started in 35 deg. weather. In your owners manual if you look at the wiring diagram it shows optional carb heaters that you might want to look into.

Using 0-30 oil will make a big difference in the cold weather.
